Cookies and browser storage

SpecNest does not set advertising cookies or use a third-party analytics service. It uses browser storage for the Google Drive workspace you request and, only with permission, first-party product analytics. Similar-technology rules may apply even when storage is not technically a cookie.

Essential storage

specnest-google-sessionLocal storage

Keeps the Google profile display information and workbook reference on this browser so SpecNest can restore the requested session. Removed when you sign out, delete the workspace, or clear site data.

specnest-drive-tokenSession storage

Holds the short-lived Google access token used to read and save the workbook. Removed when the browser session ends, you sign out, or you delete the workspace.

specnest-analytics-consent-v1Local storage

Remembers whether you allowed or declined optional analytics and the notice version. Kept until you change the choice or clear site data.

Optional analytics storage

These items are created only after you select Allow analytics.

specnest-analytics-idLocal storage

A random browser identifier used for consented visitor and return-use counts. It contains no email, name, Google account ID, or project content. Removed when analytics is turned off or site data is cleared.

specnest-analytics-sessionSession storage

A random identifier used to count a browser session. Removed when the browser session ends or analytics is turned off.

specnest-analytics-session-startedSession storage

Prevents duplicate session-start events in the same browser session. Removed when the browser session ends or analytics is turned off.

Your controls

Use the control to allow analytics, keep it off, withdraw consent, or delete raw analytics associated with this browser. Declining analytics does not affect SpecNest features. You can also clear site data in your browser. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in restoration or Drive saving from working.

Google and hosting infrastructure

Google may use its own cookies and security technologies when you choose its sign-in and API services. Hosting and security infrastructure may use strictly necessary routing, authentication, abuse-prevention, or load-balancing technologies. Those providers govern their own technologies under their policies.

Changes

SpecNest will update this notice and request a new choice where required before introducing a materially different optional storage purpose.
