Cookies and browser storage
SpecNest does not use advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking cookies. The SpecNest application code does not set a first-party cookie.
Storage required to provide the workspace
After you choose Google sign-in, SpecNest stores a small sign-in marker in local storage and a short-lived Google access token in session storage. These are similar browser-storage technologies used only to keep your requested session working, connect to your Google Drive, and avoid asking you to sign in after every refresh.
Google and hosting infrastructure
Google may use cookies on its own sign-in and API pages to authenticate your Google account, prevent abuse, and remember your Google choices. The hosting and security infrastructure may use strictly necessary security or load-balancing technologies. Those providers control their own cookies under their policies.
Your controls
Signing out removes the SpecNest session token and marker. You can also clear site data for specnest.site in your browser and manage Google cookies through your Google and browser settings. Blocking required storage may prevent sign-in or Drive saving from working.
If this changes
If SpecNest introduces non-essential analytics, advertising, or other optional storage, it will request consent where required before enabling it and will update this notice.
