EFFECTIVE 15 SEPTEMBER 2026
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to SpecNest, an engineering workspace that organizes project information in a Google Sheet you control. By using SpecNest, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you use SpecNest for a company, school, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. Parents, guardians, schools, and organizations are responsible for authorized use by younger users where local law permits it.
The service
SpecNest helps you structure systems, parts, requirements, parameters, tests, decisions, approvals, notes, audit events, and revisions. The service may evolve during early access. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and will provide notice when required by law.
Your Google account and data
You authorize SpecNest to use the Google permissions shown on the consent screen to operate on the SpecNest workbook. You are responsible for your Google account security, Drive availability, sharing settings, collaborators, and backups. Google services are governed by Google's terms and policies.
You retain ownership of the content you enter. You grant SpecNest only the limited right to process that content as needed to provide, secure, and support the service at your direction. We do not claim ownership of your engineering record.
Acceptable use
You must use SpecNest lawfully. You may not access another person's account or data without authorization; interfere with the service; bypass access controls; introduce malware; abuse Google APIs; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; or use the service to facilitate unlawful harm. We may restrict access reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.
Engineering responsibility
SpecNest is an information-management tool. It does not perform or replace professional engineering judgement, independent verification, hazard analysis, quality control, testing, certification, regulatory review, or contractual acceptance. You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness, traceability, approval, and safe use of every engineering record and physical system.
Intellectual property
SpecNest and its software, interface, trademarks, and documentation remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service. Feedback may be used to improve SpecNest without restriction or payment, but it does not transfer ownership of your project content.
Deletion and termination
You may stop using SpecNest at any time. The in-product Delete SpecNest workspace control permanently deletes the SpecNest workbook through Google Drive and clears SpecNest's browser session. You may also delete the workbook directly in Drive and revoke Google access. See the deletion instructions. We may suspend access for a material breach, security risk, or legal requirement, using notice and an opportunity to remedy where appropriate.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpecNest is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or error-free records. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpecNest and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, business, data, or goodwill. For claims that may lawfully be limited, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for SpecNest in the preceding twelve months or USD 100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot be limited, including fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-waivable rights under applicable law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in New Delhi, India will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer or statutory rights that allow you to bring a claim elsewhere. Before filing a claim, you and SpecNest agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve it by contacting specnest.tool@gmail.com.
General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be adjusted only as much as needed and the rest will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without consent; SpecNest may transfer them as part of a merger, financing, sale, or reorganization. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the service unless a written agreement says otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. We will post the new effective date and give additional notice when legally required. Changes apply prospectively. Questions may be sent to specnest.tool@gmail.com.
